Coach's
Code of Conduct and Responsibilities
The Board of Directors of Lincoln Park Jr. Rails,
Incorporated (Lincoln Park Youth Football) are concerned about the conduct of
all coaches on and off the field during games, practices and Jr. Rails events.
To clarify expectations of coach conduct, we
jointly expect all coaches to conform to this code of conduct.
1.
It is the responsibility of the head coach or representative to: Attend all Jr.
Rails general membership meetings.
2.
It is the responsibility of the head coach or representative to: To Attend all
Jr. Rails Registration meetings.
3.
It is the responsibility of all coaches to: Assist in at least 50% of all Jr.
Rails fundraisers. Assistance would
include but is not limited to set up and break down of equipment, help with
organization of Jr. Rails Functions, work during Jr. Rails functions if
applicable, ETC.
4.
It is the responsibility of the head coach to: Communicate with and hold a
mandatory coaches meeting with his/her staff between the months of April and
June.
5.
It is the responsibility of the head coach to: Conduct a mandatory
organizational meeting for parents and players prior to the first practice of
the season. The Jr. Rails Board will
be given the dates one week prior to the meeting date.
6.
It is the responsibility of all coaches to: Refrains from profanity,
disrespectful conduct, and the use of alcohol or tobacco (Includes Smokeless) in front of Youth-athletes or other situations
where your conduct could undermine your positive impact as a role model.
7.
It is the responsibility of the head coach or representative to:
Meet all deadlines given by the Lincoln Park Jr. Rails board regardless
of the time of year.
8.
It is the responsibility of all coaches to: Fulfill their coaching
obligations for the season in which they signed a contract (Term of contract is
12 months from the date signed). Termination
of your coaching position mid season may be authorized if approved by the
Lincoln Park Jr. Rails board.
9.
It is the responsibility of the head coach to: Monitor the actions of his/her
assistant coaches and/or any additional staff during any practice or game.
In fractions must be reported to a Jr. Rails Board member immediately.
10.
It is the responsibility of all coaches to: Know and understand they
are strictly prohibited from attending scrimmages or practices of any
DJFL opposing team.
